The second cabin was erected in 1987.
This cabin was burnt over by the fires in December 2006. The lookout cabin was destroyed but the living quarters, only moved there before the start of the season, was spared because it was 100% corrugated iron. Some of the PVC piping melted though.

The first photo shows the site after the burn-over (taken on 24-12-2006). The second photo shows the helicopter that was used to fly in the materials and the last 2 photos show the new tower in March 2008.
