A un-confirmed story tells us that David Morgan, ex Westpac Bank CEO manned this tower in 1967-68. He drove his MG sports car up there.

Supplied by Trevor Vienet. Trevor spent a night in the cabin in 1978 whilst walking the Alpine Walking Track. It was no longer in use and was in ruins.
