The following information was found in correspondence supplied by David Bannear. The date on the document is 9th January, 6.
The tower at Fairhome, in the Forrest district, has bad rot in the legs. These have been reinforced by the lashing of poles to them, but this is only a temporary measure and it is proposed to replace this tower with a 18m galvanized steel tower. Funds are available in the district budget for the purchase and erection of this tower. Price quoted was £820.
