This tower was abandoned in 1945.
In Nov 2019, MLC reported: First lopped tree used in WA. Idea devised by forester Jack Watson. No structure on top. Tree (tuart) still stands in Tuart Forest National Park.
Max also supplied and old newspaper clipping from 1936. A copy of the clipping can be found here
In early 2020, we received a document (with a few photos) from Roger Underwood with some information about the Ludlow tree.
