Gardner No. 1 was only used for 2 fire season, it was declared unsafe due to deterioation.
It was completely abandoned in 1945.

In Nov 2019, MLC reported: Used only for two seasons in the 40s. Found to be unsafe. Remained in situ until crown fell down in 1966
